Adding a Virtual Host to Your Tour

A Virtual Host is an interactive video element that you can embed inside your Crezlo virtual tour. Think of it as a guide, presenter, or narrator who walks your audience through the experience. Adding a virtual host makes your tour more engaging and personal by combining visuals with human-like interaction.

For example:

  • A real estate agent can introduce a property and highlight key selling points.
  • A museum curator can explain the history of an exhibit.
  • A brand representative can walk customers through a virtual showroom.

By placing a video host directly into the environment, you help viewers connect with the content on a deeper level.

Step 1: Access the Virtual Host Tool

  1. Open your Crezlo dashboard and select the virtual tour project you want to edit.
  2. Enter Edit Mode.
  3. From the top toolbar, click on Virtual Host.
  4. The Virtual Host panel will appear on the right-hand side of your screen.

Step 2: Upload Your Video

  1. In the Virtual Host panel, click Choose File under the Video Upload section.
  2. Select the video file you want to use from your device.
    • Supported formats: MP4, MOV, or WebM (recommended for smooth playback).
    • Tip: Keep videos short (30–90 seconds) for better viewer retention.
  3. Once uploaded, the video will appear as an overlay inside your tour.

Step 3: Customize Display Options

You can adjust how the video appears in the scene using the display controls:

  • Visible – Ensures the video host is shown to users.
  • Show Borders – Adds a border frame around the video (optional).
  • Show Corner Dots – Enables easy resizing and movement of the video frame.
  • Border & Background Colors – Adjust styling to match your branding or tour design.

Step 4: Position & Resize the Video

  1. Drag the video frame to the location where you want the host to appear.
    • Example: Place it in a corner so it doesn’t block important visuals.
  2. Use the corner dots to resize the video proportionally.
  3. Preview the placement to make sure the host is visible but not distracting.

Step 5: Save & Preview

  1. Once satisfied, click Save Polygon to finalize placement.
  2. Click Preview to test how the Virtual Host looks and behaves in the tour.

    • Check playback quality.
    • Confirm that the host does not overlap with navigation or hotspots.
      • *

Step 6: Publish Your Tour

When everything looks good:

  1. Exit the editor and click Publish.
  2. Your virtual tour will now include the Virtual Host for all viewers.

Best Practices for Virtual Hosts

  • Use a friendly, approachable tone in your video.
  • Film in good lighting with clear audio.
  • Add subtitles for accessibility and global audiences.
  • Keep the host’s script focused — introduce, highlight, and guide.
